Create and host a weekly two-hour show featuring a broad-based acoustic music mix incorporating folk, roots, and world sounds, to air Saturday afternoons but generally recorded ahead of time. Our studios, staff assistance, and music library are available as resources.
Create and host a weekly two-hour blues music show to air Friday nights 9-11 pm, either live or recorded ahead of time. Our studios, staff assistance, and music library are available as resources.
Provide general-duty light clerical help to include data entry, filing and shredding documents and directing phone calls.
With assistance from Jazz88’s Development Director, engage, host and facilitate Jazz88 fundraising events including the RestauranTour, riverboat nights, 50th anniversary fundraising events and potential other events.
Live Music Calendar Booker
Update the popular Jazz88 Live Music Calendar with a robust listing of jazz, blues and roots music performances in the Twin Cities as provided by venue websites, press releases and performers’ communications/updates.
Production & Technical Assistant
Work with hosts, studios and audio editing systems to help programs and other on-air elements come together. Clean and help maintain equipment and studio spaces, perform routine equipment checks, provide roadie-level help with recording sessions and live remotes.
PSA/Public Affairs Booker
Based on communications coming into the station and your own research, write public service announcements to provide awareness of community issues and solutions. Voiceover work optional. Help to handle and research Morning Show interview guests.
Social & Web Communications Aide
Create, repurpose, and post relevant content on Jazz88’s Facebook, Twitter, and website. Assist with selecting and porting audio, video, and photographic content to the Web.
