Finally\, Sounds Of Blackness director Gary Hines says\, “They are super talented\, highly-skilled and gifted musicians\, writers and performers with a unique sound and style.” \nThe band has worked with 3-time Grammy-winning Sounds of Blackness\, PJ Morton of Maroon 5\, Stokley\, and many others. Nunnabove is Cadence\, Mattie\, Bennett\, and Wisdom; four siblings from the Twin-Cities. Here\, they take their influences from funk\, jazz\, rock and neo-soul to generate their own sound and style. Moreover\, they take inspiration from The Purple One to the Gloved One\, The 1975 to Chaka Khan. For these siblings\, family is life and the key to what they create musically. \nAs a featured new artist at Prince’s 2023 Paisley Park Celebration\, they shined the brightest.
