Bryan Murray is a proudly weird saxophonist\, composer\, and visual artist from WV\, shaped by Chicago\, Brooklyn\, NJ\, and now Minnesota. He’s toured with David Byrne/St. Vincent\, played with Ray Charles and Father John Misty\, leads Bryan and the Haggards\, and invented the Balto! sax. Christopher Thomson is a saxophonist\, composer\, and educator based in Minneapolis\, MN focused on creating genre-defying music that incorporates electronic\, classical\, jazz\, and eclectic musical styles in his work as Cedar Thoms with releases Celestial Being (2019) and Brighter Days Ahead (2021) in addition to his work as a saxophonist with other artists. He passionately explores creative possibilities when musicians get together for collaboration and has worked with artists such as Bon Iver\, S. Carey\, Father John Misty\, Delfeayo Marsalis\, Mason Jennings\, Dylan Hicks and Small Screens\, Anthony Cox\, Dosh\, among others. He lives with his wife\, Emma\, their two children\, Avi and Eden\, and their spirited dog\, Benny. Calvin Caron is a bassist and composer\, and a 2022 graduate of the University of Minnesota – Duluth with a BFA in Jazz Studies. He is now living in Minneapolis\, MN\, working as a bassist and sideman while simultaneously composing\, recording\, and performing music of his own. In the spring of 2025 Calvin released his debut project\, “Transition Moments”\, featuring an all-star cast of Twin Cities musicians. His compositions create unique atmospheres for communal freedom of expression. His writing draws inspiration from the musical styles of Jazz\, Folk\, Country\, and classical traditions. Adam Harder Nussbaum is a drummer and bandleader in the Twin Cities. In addition to his own groups\, he performs with the Michael Cain Trio\, the Jake Baldwin Quartet\, Gutter Talk Organ Trio\, and the Garrett Jones Electric Quartet\, among others.

DESCRIPTION:6PM DOORS 7PM SHOW \nFood and beverage menu available the entire show \n$18 ADVANCE (+taxes/fees) $25 AT THE DOOR (+taxes) \nCelebrate Mardi Gras with “Feel-Good Music” from the Jack Brass Band\, as Wynton Marsalis once said\, “If you like your gumbo spicy\, and your music hot\, check out the Jack Brass Band. The Jack Brass Band was formed in 1999 in the Twin Cities. Based on the traditions of New Orleans’ brass bands\, they are the ambassadors to the Crescent City’s rich musical history. The band plays “Feel-Good Music” for audiences of any age\, for any occasion. The band has the ability and repertoire to play everything from old New Orleans jazz from Louis Armstrong’s era\, to the modern street Mardi-Gras anthems with the instrumentation\, feel\, and energy they have mastered through countless gigs\, parades\, festival appearances\, and trips to New Orleans to listen\, learn\, and play alongside the masters. Simply put\, the Jack Brass Band brings the party to any event with a rich tradition and a groove that will make you want to get up and dance to the New Orleans sound. The Up North Rollers Brass Band is a New Orleans-style brass band based out of the Twin Cities. The group was established in 2024 when Ben Collicott\, trombonist and recent transplant to Minnesota\, recruited several fellow Michigan Tech alumni to share his passion for the second line music of New Orleans. The ensemble digs deep into the Crescent City’s brass band culture and strives to be authentic to the modern New Orleans style while also paying dues to the tradition.
