DESCRIPTION:Jazz Access\, the FREE series which brings top-notch local jazz talent to outdoor neighborhood spaces\, returns to Rondo with Room3\, a jazz fusion wild card ensemble rooted in tradition yet driven by experimentation. Named one of First Avenue’s “Best New Bands of 2024\,” they herald an imaginative\, melodic and rhythmically sharp sound\, mixing elements of bebop\, contemporary jazz\, prog rock\, funk and more. The collective operates most often as a five-piece ensemble with Eli Awada on keyboards\, Wormdove (aka Beck Anderson) on bass\, RAWTWHYLAH (aka Colin Mitchell) on drums\, Evan Espinoza Robles on percussion and Mike Green on guitar. Room3 has performed at prestigious local venues from the Dakota to First Avenue’s Main Room. Their debut album\, “Bill’s Garden\,” is out now.
