Celebrate Summer at our annual Jazz in the Vineyard Social, Sunday afternoon, August 6th , at Alexis Bailly Vineyard in Hastings!
The gathering features a delightful lunch spread from Emily’s Bakery & Deli in Hastings, Sangria from Alexis Bailly and live Brazilian jazz performed by Pavel Jany and Ticket to Brasil.
The social runs 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and happens rain or shine.
Bring your lawn chair and sunscreen.
Tickets are $25 and very limited. Proceeds benefit Jazz88.
Lunch Menu
Shaved turkey breast and ham on trays Emily’s home baked Sliced white and wheat buns – condiments on the side (mayo, mustard and butter)
Fresh melon salad – a nice blend of seasonal fruits – no dressing
Parmesan-dill Potato Salad (made with red potatoes, dill, parmesan cheese and onion in a mayo and sour cream dressing).
Summer Delight Salad (a spinach salad with avocado, almonds, craisins, feta cheese in a light olive oil – citrus dressing).
Dessert: An assortment of bars and cookies
TICKET TO BRASIL is a Bossa Nova, Afro-Brazilian Samba and Latin Jazz Fusion project created around a collective love for the celebration of rhythm and for the spirit of experimentation. The group was founded in 1998 by classical and contemporary jazz guitarist and composer Pavel Jany, and it is based in Minneapolis / Saint Paul, Minnesota.
This unique international ensemble has released four albums, and has performed at a number of local and international events, including The Winnipeg Jazz Festival, MN Orchestra SommerFest, Twin Cities Jazz Festival, Sioux Falls Jazz Festival, Grand Marais Jazz Festival, Ordway World Stage Festival, Bloomington Latin Music Festival, Twin Cities Winter Jazz Festival, MN State Fair, MN Global Jazz Festival, and many more. Ticket To Brasil has opened for such renowned artists as Karrin Allyson and Brazilian singer Cibelle.
