Vocalist Maud Hixson, Cole Porter and the 1930s

Vocalist Maud Hixson has two shows coming up in the Twin Cities. Saturday night, Nov. 10, she’s singing with pianist Rick Carlson and his trio at the Bloomington Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. It’s a Cole Porter tribute show.

Monday night, she’ll sing in the Dunsmore Room at Crooners Lounge and Supper Club in a duo with Rick. This show is part of their residency at Crooners, and they’ll perform music from the 1930s.

Maud stopped by the Jazz88 Morning Show to talk about Cole Porter and the 1930s.
