Jazz88 again presents an array of special holiday programs for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, including a rare item this year: a fresh, local live holiday concert!
Thursday and Friday will start out with holiday playlists on The Morning Show with guest host Michael Jamnick. Genaro Vasquez hosts the Afternoon Cruise on Thursday. Middays and evenings both days will feature holiday editions of our regular programs like American Routes, Jazz Futures, and The Bing Shift, as well as NPR specials like A Jazz Piano Christmas, and this year an audio broadcast of the Christmas at Crooners Virtual Holiday Special. Produced with the Twin Cities Jazz Festival and video-streamed from Crooners’ Dunsmore Room on Dec. 22, the concert features host Andrew Walesch, along with guests Moore by Four, Michael Monroe, Joyann Parker and Erin Schwab. William E. Duncan III makes a special guest appearance, performing in honor of his sister, the beloved singer Debbie Duncan who passed away Dec. 18. “Christmas At Crooners” airs Thursday at 2 p.m. and Friday at 9 a.m.
