Sparked by our conversation on tornadoes last week, James noted that as a kid growing up in Kansas in the 1950s/1960s he recalled sheltering in the cellar at night, with incredibly heavy rains during tornado warnings, but noted that footage of tornadoes is generally taken by spotters with a view of the storm from some place sunny and calm.
