Our plan for broadcast coverage of this year’s Twin Cities Jazz Fest has come together. We’re slated to present 27 acts on four different stages across three different broadcast and streaming platforms, with support from MetroNOME Brewery and listener donors like you. The forecast calls for rain. It’s a free, rain-or-shine event and we’d love to see you there in person. But if you can’t, or don’t want to take the chance of being soggy, we’re here for you with as much Festival as the weather will allow!
Jazz88 will sample the action from those Mears Park stages Friday beginning in the 4 p.m. hour during the Afternoon Cruise, and then carry the headliners in full starting at 7 p.m.
The Jazz88 broadcast of the Mears Park stages on Saturday runs from 5 to 10 p.m.
Every minute of the action from the Jazz88 Main Stage and 5th Street Stage at Mears Park will be streamed on the Minnesota Jazz Tracks Channel, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and noon to 10 p.m. Saturday.
Over on MPSVoices.com, we will carry youth performances Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will include 13 acts at two different venues. Groups from Minneapolis Washburn (2 p.m. Friday), Southwest (12:45 p.m. Saturday), and South (2:30 p.m. Saturday) High Schools will be part of the webcast.
