There’s a new jazz festival on the block!

The Northside Jazz and Heritage festival kicks off Sunday July 26th, 11am-7pm at West Broadway Ave and West River Parkway in North Minneapolis.

Yonci sat down with festival founders Kenya McKnight-Ahad, Kristel Porter, and performer Truth Maze to talk about the origins, inspirations behind this first-time festival.

Expect tons of food, culture, community, and music from local artists including Kevin Washington & RA Spirit, Omar Abdulkarim, Jamecia Bennett, Ashley Dubose and more!
