Lundstrum Performing Arts presents “Sister Act,” the five-time, Tony winning musical comedy mixing gospel, disco and dancing on July 31, August 1 and 2. Based on the 1992 hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg, the Lundstrum production features Lundstrum standout Aniyah Warren, the North High School Scholarship winner to New York City’s prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy, in the lead role of Deloris Van Cartier/Sister Mary Clarence, backed by a talented roster of triple threat actors, singers and dancers.

When disco diva Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the police are sure she won’t be a found—a convent! Disguised as Sister Mary Clarence, she finds herself at odds with the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and the community.
