Red Planet (Dean Magraw, Chris Bates, Jay Epstein) was formed in 2003, playing innovative jazz sounds with a strong emphasis on creative interactivity for the 21st Century. In addition to its personalized original material, Red Planet is known for its unique interpretations of the music of John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk, & Jimi Hendrix. Jazz Police says, “One of jazz’s most innovative bands!” This past year we’ve added the phenomenal pianist, Kavyesh Kaviraj to our band, forging a perfectly strong/sensitive blend of empathetic musical spirits. Our 5 year residency at St. Paul’s MetroNOME Brewery every 1st Tuesday of the month has garnered a lot of interest and elation from our core fans
