Composing guitarist and singer John Penny and the Virtual Band bring an eclectic mix of music to the Tunes on The Turf Music Series with original World Jazz, Cinematic Jazz, and American Roots music. With decades of experience playing Jazz and scoring music for film and theater, Penny’s evolving project brings custom backing soundscapes with exotic instruments from around the World to the stage. Penny’s emotive guitar explorations are in reply to lyrical statements sung in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
