Join us at the Sunday Sounds Workshops to actively create improvised music. Music is a universal human (and beyond human) experience, yet most people are not taught to openly create music. They are taught to play the music of others. All people are musicians, but few are given the opportunity to openly express themselves through creating their own melodies, rhythms, and sounds. Listening to free form improvised music can expand concepts of what music is. Playing free form improvised music can provide a doorway in to musical expression for anyone willing to try. Each Sunday Sounds event will begin with artist-led improvised music workshops catering to different groups and modes of creating based on the vision of the workshop artist followed by a performance by the artists and others.
