Join us for an afternoon of art, music, community, and connection as we celebrate the opening of The Many Ways We Are Neighbors: Art About Care, Community, and Connection, a group fine art exhibit featuring the work of 20 Minnesota based artists over the age of 50.

This special gathering is an opportunity to honor the many ways we show up for our neighbors and spend time together celebrating the creativity, wisdom, beauty, and incredible capabilities of artists whose work reflects care, resilience, memory, joy, and belonging.

The afternoon will feature:
• Live music by Twin Cities legend Cornbread Harris and Friends
• Complimentary refreshments
• An opportunity to meet the artists
• A vibrant collection of paintings, mixed media, and visual storytelling from artists across Minnesota

James Samuel “Cornbread” Harris Sr. is a true Minnesota treasure. His earliest musical influences were country legends like Hank Williams Sr. and Gene Autry. Cornbread first began learning piano at age 13, eventually returning to music in his twenties with a deep love for the Blues that shaped the remarkable career that followed. He also played on Minnesota’s first rock and roll hit record, “Hi Yo Silver,” with the Augie Garcia Band in 1955.

Now at 99 years old, Cornbread continues performing throughout the Twin Cities, bringing people together through music and songs like “Put The World Back Together.” We are deeply honored to celebrate his extraordinary legacy with us during this special afternoon of art, connection, and community.
