Egypt's Sunken Cities Franck Goddio, HILTI Foundation

A new exhibit showcasing artifacts from two cities submerged in the Mediterranean Sea opens Sunday, Nov. 4th at the Minneapolis Institute of Art. French archaeologist Franck Goddio discovered the two cities, Canopus and Thonis-Heracleion, in 2000. He spoke with Jazz88’s Emily Reese about what we’ve learned from these two cities buried beneath the waters of the Mediterranean for 1,200 years.

Originally aired Thursday, Nov. 1 on the Morning Show with Emily Reese.
