For the first time, Minneapolis Public Schools is formally recognizing Juneteenth, which is of course this Sunday June 19. Juneteenth will be observed by MPS on Monday the 20th, and our Manny Hill got a chance to talk with Derek Francis, Manager of Counseling Services at MPS, about how big this is for the district, and also about a cool video Francis helped put together for staff and students to shed more light on the holiday.
