The budding local group Room3 finally has an album out and it’s been a joy to see how warmly Bill’s Garden been received in the Twin Cities scene! Today we are focusing on the third single from the album, “Don’t Forget to Breathe.” The tune features a vocal performance from the soul vocalist, Jada Lynn. This tune shows the group moving into neo-soul territory in their own special way. My favorite moments come in around the 3-minute mark when the band puts the groove on hold and moves out of time with still supporting Jada Lynn’s performance. After keeping that suspenseful feel on simmer for a solid minute, the band works the groove back up for a triumphant ending. In addition to Jada Lynn and the supporting cast of Room3, Alex Browne of Purple Funk Metropolis also joins on trumpet and sounds wonderful throughout the song. Congratulations to Jada Lynn, Alex and the rest of the band on another awesome tune from the album Bill’s Garden.
