This week’s Hot New Local Single is “Epsilon” from the BZ3 Organ Trio. Since the group’s inception in 2023, they have embraced a wide variety of musical styles, including jazz, soul, R&B, and funk. This tune marks a bit of a departure for the group with an unapologetic eighties vibe. Fiely’s guitar and Brian Ziemniak’s synthesizer are prominent, but there are still the funky organ vibes that always characterize BZ3’s music.
“Epsilon” is the first single from a forthcoming album. The BZ3 trio will celebrate a new album which will highlight of yet another single, Pickled Herring, in a February 22nd performance at Berlin.
The BZ3 trio includes Brian Ziemniak on organ, David Feily on guitar, and Kevin Washington on drums. “Epsilon” was recorded at Daydream Studios in Arden Hills, mixed by John Fields, and mastered by Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering.
